WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy occasions and individuals; and
WHEREAS the First Korean United Methodist Church came together with other congregations to undertake a mission campaign to raise money to make a change in people’s lives and save lives; and
WHEREAS as part of today’s Korean Food & Culture Festival, we wish to honor and celebrate the congregants who worked together, shared commitments, rallied for causes, thought about other people and ultimately built a stronger community; and
WHEREAS it is fitting and proper on this day and every day to recognize the tremendous impact the philanthropy, volunteerism, and community service displayed by the congregation of First Korean UMC have had here in Cherry Hill, and around South Jersey; and
WHEREAS the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township are pleased to congratulate and thank the members of this congregation for doing their part to help transform the world, and to take part in the larger celebration of Korean Food and Culture that is taking place here in our community.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby wish to recognize
First Korean UMC
for its continued work to serve the Cherry Hill community and the entire South Jersey region, and do urge all citizens to join with me and the members of Township Council in thanking the entire congregation for its willingness to help others.
