WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy individuals; and
WHEREAS Mr. Gerry Seneski has dutifully served as the Construction Official for the Township of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, since March 9, 2010, bestowing and advancing his knowledge of his profession for the benefit of our community; and
WHEREAS Gerry has addressed critical issues of life-safety and building construction safety in our building and construction community, positively impacting Cherry Hill’s citizens, its visitors and its workforce, both in everyday life and in times of natural disaster; and
WHEREAS Gerry has given us confidence that our structures are safe and sound through his devotion as a vigilant guardian of construction projects throughout the Township; and
WHEREAS Gerry has demonstrated commitment to his profession by his diverse knowledge of codes, and his high level of initiative in the Building Construction office; and
WHEREAS Gerry has worked side-by-side, all the while with good knowledge, good spirits and good humor, with a variety of building-safety and fire-prevention officials and colleagues, architects, engineers, contractors and builders, laborers and others in the construction industry; and
WHEREAS Gerry has been a dedicated partner in the reinvention, renovation and improvement of the Township’s physical aspect as structures and properties throughout the municipality have been transformed over the years; and
WHEREAS Gerry has dedicated many years to the Township, and has taken appropriate steps to ensure the places in which we live, learn, work, shop and play are safe.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby proclaim Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015, to be
Gerry Seneski Day
in the Township of Cherry Hill, and encourage all of our municipal employees and staff to thank Mr. Seneski for his knowledge and work ethic, which have benefitted our homes, our places of business and worship, our schools and stores, and to join me and the members of Township Council in acknowledging the critical and essential service provided by Mr. Seneski in protecting our lives, property and value.
