WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of the Township of Cherry Hill to focus attention on noteworthy occasions and individuals; and
WHEREAS Jack and Jill of America, Inc. and community teen leaders from New Jersey and nearby states prepare themselves for one year; and
WHEREAS teen leaders have served their community through volunteer hours and service activities; and
WHEREAS Rites of Passage initiates have acquired knowledge to improve themselves and to share their talents and skills with their community; and
WHEREAS Rites of Passage initiates have become more aware of their heritage and rich culture; and
WHEREAS Jack and Jill of America, Inc. has helped prepared teen leaders for presentation to their family, friends and community as young adults ready to make a positive impact.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill in the County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby proclaim Wednesday, November 4, 2015, as
Jack and Jill of America, Inc.
Rites of Passage
Teen Leadership Day
in the Township of Cherry Hill and do urge all citizens to join with Council and me in congratulating these young men and women on completing the Rites of Passage program, and striving to become adults who will create positivity and light in our world.
