WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy occasions and individuals; and
WHEREAS today, family and friends have come together to celebrate Mary Ursino on the occasion of her 100th birthday; and
WHEREAS Mary was born in Philadelphia Pa., on June 1, 1915, one of 10 children of Joseph and Philomena Conte; and
WHEREAS in June 1940, Mary married Joseph Ursino, and remained his loving, faithful and devoted wife for 57 years; and
WHEREAS today, Mary is the proud mother of two beautiful children, Joseph and Lee, as well as five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, and remains close to her surviving sister , Ella Franzini; and
WHEREAS as an adult, Mary worked as a lamp maker in Philadelphia, moved to New Jersey in 2005 and has been a resident of Alaris Health in Cherry Hill since 2007; and
WHEREAS Mary is loved by all those who know her, and the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township are proud to join in this joyous celebration.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby declare Monday, June 1, 2015, to be
Mary Ursino Day
in the Township of Cherry Hill, and ask all citizens to join me and the members of Township Council in sending Mary our sincerest wishes for a very Happy Birthday, and in wishing her continued health, happiness, and an abundance of love and joy as she celebrates this milestone in her life.
