WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy occasions and individuals; and
WHEREAS from Dec. 5-13, 2014, the Theatre Department at Cherry Hill High School East will perform their fall production, Thornton Wilder’s acclaimed “Our Town,” for the residents of Cherry Hill Township; and
WHEREAS while each production coordinated by East is a special endeavor, “Our Town” has taken on added significance, as it has prompted the students and staff involved in the show to reflect upon and celebrate what makes our own community such a special place to live, work and play; and
WHEREAS for the last several months, cast members, led by Theatre Director Mr. Tom Weaver, have dedicated a great deal of their time, energy and talent to bringing the show to life, with a focus on highlighting the ways in which it mirrors our own Cherry Hill community; and
WHEREAS as we approach opening night, the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township wish to commend the Theatre Department and the cast members, crew and directors involved in bringing the production to life, and to thank them for their efforts to showcase our own special quality of life.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, wish to celebrate
Cherry Hill High School East’s production of Our Town
and do urge all citizens to join with me and Council in wishing the cast and crew of “Our Town,” and all those involved in this year’s fall production an enjoyable and successful run, and in thanking Mr. Weaver and the Theatre Department, for their dedication to showcasing the best of our community.
