Mayor Cahn and Council honored the Cherry Hill High School West Mock Trial Team with a Proclamation at the Council meeting on February 27, 2012
WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy occasions and individuals; and
WHEREAS the Cherry Hill Public High Schools compete annually in the NJ State Bar Foundation’s Mock Trial competition; and
WHEREAS the NJ State Bar Foundation’s Mock Trial Competition’s goals include increasing student comprehension of the historical, ethical, and philosophical basis of the justice system, demystifying operations of court procedures and the legal system, and bringing the law to life for students through active participation in the Mock Trial Competition; and
WHEREAS through their hard work and in-depth preparation, the Cherry Hill High School West Mock Trial team won the County Championship and the title of 2012 Camden County Mock Trial Team Champion; and
WHEREAS Cherry Hill is home to many accomplished students who set an impressive standard for their peers, and the Mayor and Council wish to commend the Cherry Hill High School West Mock Trial Team, Mr. Field, and all other teachers involved, on their hard work, dedication, and their impressive achievements in the Camden County Championship.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby proclaim February 27, 2012, as

Mock Trial Team Day
in the Township of Cherry Hill and do urge all citizens to join with me and Council in congratulating Cherry Hill High School West Mock Trial team for their tremendous effort and success in the Camden County Championship.
