WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy individuals; and
WHEREAS tonight, we wish to honor Councilwoman Jacquelene Silver, who concludes her term in office on December 31, 2013, after four years as a member of the Cherry Hill Township Council; and
WHEREAS Councilwoman Silver has been a dedicated public servant and advocate for all of the residents of our community, from our youngest children, to the seniors who have lived here their whole lives; and
WHEREAS through her support of the Township’s sustainability efforts, particularly her continued interest in our parks, trails, and recreational opportunities, Councilwoman Silver has helped build a stronger, healthier and “greener” Cherry Hill; and
WHEREAS despite her busy schedule as a Councilwoman, mother, and full-time educator, Jacquelene has always found time to attend community events and activities, and to engage and help those in need of her assistance; and
WHEREAS Councilwoman Silver has fulfilled her duties admirably, with energy, kindness and genuine enthusiasm.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby wish to recognize and honor
Councilwoman Jacquelene Silver
for her dedicated service to Cherry Hill Township and its residents, and ask all citizens to join with me and Council in thanking her for her contributions to our community, and extending our best wishes as she begins this next chapter in life.
