WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy individuals; and
WHEREAS tonight, the Katz JCC honors Marlton resident and past JCC Board member Brett Kratchman with its 2013 People’s Choice Award; and
WHEREAS Brett’s many contributions to the JCC and its programs include longtime support for the Kids Triathlon and the Cherry Hill Volvo 5K Road Race, organizing several major fundraiser, and chairing the Sari Isdaner Early Childhood Center; and
WHEREAS a passionate sports enthusiast, Brett has played and coached community sports for 30 years, and been actively involved in both the Junior Maccabi Games and the JCC Maccabi Games, where he has coached the girls’ basketball teams to 10 medals since 1997; and
WHEREAS outside of the JCC, Brett is an active member of Temple Beth El in Voorhees and is involved in various non-profits organizations, including the Delaware Valley Stroke Association, the Greater Philadelphia Food Bank and St. Jude’s Hospital for Children.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby honor
Brett Kratchman
for his countless contributions to the Katz JCC and the South Jersey community, and urge all citizens to join with me and Council in expressing our gratitude for his continued efforts to support and enhance the JCC and its programs, and by extension, our entire region.
