WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy occasions and events; and
WHEREAS tonight, we celebrate the work of the Cancer Foundation for Personal Appearance as it launches another year of fundraising to help women affected by breast and other forms of cancer; and
WHEREAS founded by Joseph Minnitti more than a decade ago, the Cancer Foundation provides education, guidance, hair replacements, and wigs to help support women living with cancer; and
WHEREAS throughout its existence, the Cancer Foundation has helped women to feel better about themselves and their appearance – a small but important form of support that helps to ease an often scary, painful and difficult time in one’s life; and
WHEREAS as we approach October and National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we are reminded of the importance of supporting the Foundation, because we know that helping a cancer patient feel more like herself allows her to focus on what’s most important – her treatment and recovery.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby wish to honor
The Cancer Foundation
for Personal Appearance
and its founder and director, Joseph Minnitti, for their continued work to help women who are battling cancer in Cherry Hill and across our region. Futhermore, I urge all citizens to join with me and with Council in supporting the work of CF4PA and other organizations whose mission is to improve the health and welfare of our citizens.
