WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy occasions and individuals; and

WHEREAS today, June 20, 2013, the Cherry Hill community comes together to honor a man who has equally committed himself to making Cherry Hill a better place; a man who is a true philanthropist, a respected businessman and employer, and a devoted husband, father and grandfather; and
WHEREAS in his birth place, Camden’s Cramer Hill neighborhood, Charles Foulke Jr. laid the foundation for a lifelong love of baseball – and throughout his family’s life, from Pennsauken in the 1960s to Cherry Hill Township, where he moved in 1980 and still lives today, Mr. Foulke has worked to instill in his family some of the sport’s key tenets: cooperation, discipline and good sportsmanship; and
WHEREAS through the years, those ideals have helped Mr. Foulke build a thriving business, and he has used his success to help improve the lives of others through his support of numerous causes; and
WHEREAS now, the generosity of the Foulke family will allow future generations of Cherry Hill youth baseball players to participate in the sport they all love in a facility that is safe and modern, and will be enjoyed for many years to come; and
WHEREAS in recognition of this latest contribution to our community, Mayor Cahn and Township Council are proud to come together to honor and recognize Mr. Charles Foulke Jr. for his many years of support to Cherry Hill Township.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby declare and dedicate the Babe Ruth Baseball Field, located at the Cherry Hill Township Municipal Complex, as
