WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy individuals; and
WHEREAS tonight, the Politz Day School honors Suzie and Harvey Mindel for their countless contributions through the years as volunteers and leaders within the Jewish community; and
WHEREAS as a member of the Politz Board of Directors, Suzie has been involved in countless projects, including the annual Chanukah dinner, opening Sukkah for classes to visit, and writing and securing grants that help support the school and its projects; and
WHEREAS for more than a decade, Harvey has also served on the Politz Board and a number of committees; and
WHEREAS with the help of his company, Harvey has delivered technology – including 1,000 iPads and other instructional aids – to Collaborative Jewish Day Schools throughout the Delaware Valley, further ensuring that the young people of our region have access to the best tools and education possible; and
WHEREA Suzie and Harvey enjoy being part of the Politz Day School community and have demonstrated their love and passion by ensuring that the children of the Politz Day School can receive a nurturing and enriching experience.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby declare Friday, May 24, 2013, as
Suzie and Harvey Mindel Day
in the Township of Cherry Hill and do urge all citizens to join with me and Council in recognizing Suzie and Harvey’s many years of service to the youth of our community, and in thanking them for their continued efforts to make Cherry Hill a better place to live and play.
