WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy occasions and individuals; and
WHEREAS Michael Reisman, a member of Troop 166 in Cherry Hill, has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, joining a prestigious group of young men dedicated to serving and improving the community; and
WHEREAS for his Eagle Scout project, Michael refurbished the Cherry Hill Atlantic Little League announceses booth, in cooperation with the CHALL board, which included repainting the booth, installing new floors and shelves, purchasing new tables and chairs, and transcription of complete instructions on how to use the announcing equipment, providing an enjoyable and useful space for the league; and
WHEREAS the honor of Eagle Scout is bestowed upon approximately five percent of all Boy Scouts annually, and the lessons and skills this elite group exhibits provide a foundation for these young leaders to continue to lead by example through service throughout their lives; and
WHEREAS the Mayor and Council are proud to call Michael one of Cherry Hill’s own, as he exemplifies the values that make our community strong.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby proclaim Tuesday, May 7, 2013 to be

in the Township of Cherry Hill and do urge all citizens to join with me and Council in recognizing the hard work and commitment required to become an Eagle Scout, and in congratulating Michael on his tremendous achievement.
