WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy occasions and individuals; and
WHEREAS Morris Nelson, a longtime member of the Cherry Hill Township Department of Public Works, retired after 29 years of dedicated, professional, and honorable service; and
WHEREAS Morris began his career with Cherry Hill Township on August 15, 1983; and
WHEREAS Morris took great pride in his job; working diligently with his colleagues to ensure Cherry Hill’s safety and beautification; and
WHEREASThe Township of Cherry Hill is grateful to Morris for his 29 years of dedicated service to the Department of Public Works, the Township, and most importantly, to the residents in our community.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby proclaim Friday, June 8, 2012 as
Morris Nelson Day
in the Township of Cherry Hill and do urge all citizens to join with me and Council in recognizing the hard work, dedication and many years of service of Morris Nelson to the Department of Public Works and the Township.
