Mayor Cahn and Council honored Sharp School with a Proclamation on June 13, 2012
WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy occasions and individuals; and
WHEREAS the Environmental Protection Agency has designated Cherry Hill Township a Climate Showcase Community; through this designation Cherry Hill Township has created the Cherry Hill It’s In Our Power program to provide hands-on assistance to residents, businesses and organizations to cut energy bills, create a cleaner, healthier community, and protect our planet for future generations; and
WHEREAS Cherry Hill intends to recognize residents, business, and organizations who have furthered the It’s In Our Power program with their commitment to reducing energy and lowering their carbon footprint; and
WHEREAS the Mayor and Council of the Township of Cherry Hill seek to recognize the Joseph D. Sharp Elementary School as an It’s In Our Power Energy Champion and winners of the It’s In Our Power school competition by producing the greatest number of families who have taken the pledge to reduce their energy use; and
WHEREAS recipients continue to be active participants in making Cherry Hill Township the great community it is today; and
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby proclaim that we recognize
Energy Champions of the
It’s In Our Power Program
in the Township of Cherry Hill and urge all citizens to join with Council and me in expressing appreciation for community members who are models of sustainable energy use.
It is with honor Joseph D. Sharp Elementary School is honored as an Energy Champion of the It’s In Our Power Program.
