WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy occasions and individuals; and
WHEREAS Cherry Hill High School East a capella group Stay Tuned recently placed 4th in the country in the International Competition of High School A Cappella Tournament, their first time participating in the contest; and
WHEREAS Stay Tuned attended the final round in New York City on April 21, following their first-place finish in the April 1 semifinals, and represented our region as Mid-Atlantic Champion; and
WHEREAS Stay Tuned performs throughout the tri-state area, including performances at Lincoln Financial Field and the Kimmel Center, and since its inception in 2011, the group has received numerous awards in ICHSA vocal competitions with additional awards for best soloist and choreography; and
WHEREAS in 2015, the group was selected as one of two a cappella groups nationwide to be featured in the Lifetime Network’s “Pitch Slapped”; and
WHEREAS we commend the entire team, including director Heather Lockart and all the members of “Stay Tuned,” for their hard work and dedication to their art.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby wish to formally recognize and congratulate the members of
