CHANGE OF MEETING LOCATIONS TO VIDEO TELECONFERENCE
CHERRY HILL TOWNSHIP ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that due to the current New Jersey State of Emergency and Public Health Emergency declared by Governor Phil Murphy, and in an effort to prevent further spread of COVID-19 and to protect the health and safety of residents, Township staff, professionals, and applicants, the Township Municipal Building remains closed. In accordance with the Open Public Meeting Act, N.J.S.A. 10:4-6, et seq., and/or P.L. 2020, c.11, and/or the “Operational Guidance – COVID-19: Guidance for Remote Public Meetings in New Jersey” dated March 23, 2020, and “Operational Guidance – COVID-19: N.J.S.A. 40:55D-1, Recommendation for Land Use Public Meetings in New Jersey” dated April 2, 2020, both published by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, Division of Local Governmental Services, notice is hereby given that so long as the Township Municipal Building remains closed to the public, the previously noticed 2020 public meetings/hearings of the Zoning Board of Adjustment for the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, and State of New Jersey, will been changed to occur virtually via video teleconferencing by way of a Zoom Webinar rather than an “in-person” meeting. These public meetings/hearings include, but may not be limited to, the following: Thursday, May 7, 2020; Thursday, May 21, 2020; Thursday, June 4, 2020; Thursday, June 18, 2020; Thursday, July 2, 2020; Thursday, July 16, 2020; Thursday, August 6, 2020; Thursday, August 20, 2020; Thursday, September 3, 2020; and Thursday, September 17, 2020. Caucus will begin at 7:00 PM and the meeting/hearing will begin at 7:30 PM unless otherwise noticed.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that while the Township Municipal Building remains closed, members of the public will have full access to the meetings/hearings, and will also be able to give public comment and/or cross-examine witnesses on the applications being heard by the Zoning Board of Adjustment, through Zoom or telephone by following the below directions:

The previously adopted Zoning Board By-Laws will remain in effect, subject to modification at the discretion of the Zoning Board.

The Zoning Board of Adjustment, established under authority of New Jersey’s Municipal Land Use Law, consists of 7 regular members and 2 alternate members appointed by township Council. All are residents of Cherry Hill. Regular members serve 4 year terms, while alternate members serve 2-year terms.
The Zoning Board has exclusive jurisdiction in the following areas:
- All applications seeking a use not permitted in a zone
- Requests for interpretation of the Zoning Ordinance or the Zoning Map
- Certification of a prior Non-Conforming Use
- Appeals from orders of administrative officers in connection with the Zoning Ordinance
The Zoning Board also hears the following applications:
- Bulk (c) variances, site plan approval and subdivisions, if associated with a use (d) variance
- Residential bulk (c) variances
