Township partnering with school district to revitalize community tennis courts
The five-court tennis venue located on the grounds of Cherry Hill High School East has been showing its age (25 years), and the Township is now teaming up with the Cherry Hill school district to give the popular facility a well-needed face-lift.
HS East recently kicked off a fund-drive to raise money for a state-of-the-art resurfacing of the courts, the installation of additional lighting, and the replacement of aging steel stands around the outdoor venue.
Once complete, the courts will offer tennis lovers in town world-class playability in an aesthetically appealing setting that the entire community will be proud to call their own.
Everyone’s help is needed to bring this needed improvement-project to fruition. Construction is tentatively slated for this summer, with the renovated courts expected to be open to the public this fall.
Donations of all sizes are being accepted, and HS East is also offering various levels of sponsorship wherein families, friends, or loved ones can be honored court-side through the purchase of brick and granite pavers, center stones, memorial plaques, and custom benches with planters – all emblazoned with personal names and messages.
