In September 2003, the Cherry Hill Fire Department assumed operational
control of Emergency Medical Services. Working from a more comprehensive
Fire Department EMS model, Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs)
now respond from the network of neighborhood firehouses throughout
town expanding their ability to provide this critical service to
the residents of Cherry Hill.
Cherry Hill Fire Department EMTs are prepared to handle any medical
emergency, no matter the degree. They train for incidents as simple
as slip and fall injuries to major incidents involving multiple
patients. They also cross train with our Hazardous Materials and
specialized Rescue teams on complex decontamination and technical
rescue scenes. Each ambulance carries a full complement of emergency
equipment based on state and national standards, including Automatic
Defibrillators, to provide the best quality emergency care.
