Mayor's Wellness Tip Of The Week - Take Time To Stretch

Take stretch breaks. Stretching does a body good. Make a habit of getting out of your office chair, out from behind the computer, and onto your feet for regular stretching throughout the day. Your body (and mind) will thank you! Studies show that individuals who take regular movement breaks are more productive than those who push through the day without breaks. Stretching also helps to increase blood flow, relieve muscular tension, and dissipate stress. You can see more wellness tips and activities throughout Cherry Hill on the Mayor's Wellness page of the Township website.

Honoring It's In Our Power Poster Contest Winners

It’s In Our Power Energy Tip - Fuel Efficient Cars
Gas prices are up 18%, increasing from $3.29 in mid-December 2011 to $3.87 by mid-April 2012. The average driver will pay about $32 extra each month to fuel his or her vehicle. You may be able to off-set some or all of this increase by driving the speed limit, avoiding unnecessary idling, keeping your engine tuned and tires properly inflated. Driving a fuel-efficient car is the best way to save on fuel costs and emissions. Come to Cherry Hill’s first It’s In Our Power Fuel Efficient Car Show on Saturday, May 19 from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Silver Diner on Route 38 in Cherry Hill. For more information, and to take the It’s In Our Power pledge to save energy, go to www.ourpowercherryhill.org.
