TRAFFIC ALERT: Water main work, lane closures to begin this week on Springdale Road

New Jersey American Water will begin underground water main repairs this week on Springdale Road between Justa Lane and the Springdale Farm Market. Lane shifts are expected to be set up today, and will remain in place 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, through April 11.

Repairs will take about three weeks to complete. During this time, traffic will be reduced to just one lane in each direction. Significant delays are expected, and motorists are asked to seek an alternate route to their destinations until work is complete.

Cherry Hill Police will be on site throughout construction to ensure the safety of both motorists and contractors. As always, motorists are reminded to slow down and exercise caution when traveling through any construction zone.

Additionally, the Cherry Hill Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit will deploy radar enforcement within adjacent neighborhoods to monitor any potential cut-through traffic resulting from increased congestion in the area.

My office will work closely with police to provide residents with any necessary updates throughout this project. Information will be posted on the Township's website and social media sites as necessary.

For up-to-the-minute updates on any subject, call my office at (856) 488-7878, visit our municipal Web site, like us on Facebook, or follow us on Twitter (@CherryHillTwp).
