The Operations Division
Cherry Hill Township, located in Camden County
, is over 24 square miles and has a population of approximately 70,000 residents. It is the 10th largest municipality in New Jersey.
The Operations Division is the largest and most visible division within the Cherry Hill Police Department
. There are currently 80 highly trained and dedicated men and women who are responsible for providing uniformed law enforcement services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to the residents and visitors of Cherry Hill Township.
The Operations Division is divided into two platoons with five squads each, working 12-hour shifts. This schedule allows for more officers to be deployed during times when calls for service are highest. Officers are assigned to one of five districts, and rotate districts every three months. This district integrity enables officers to provide a better working relationship with the residents and businesses throughout the entire town.

- Preventing crime
- Resolving disputes
- Taking crime reports
