Property Maintenance - Guidelines

To help keep Cherry Hill looking its best, please follow these property maintenance guidelines at your house:

  • Grass or weeds cannot be higher than ten inches, so remember to mow your yard often.
  • Bagged leaves, tied tree limbs and other yard waste can be left at the curb in open containers or clear plastic bags for recycling. Branches should be cut to four foot lengths and tied in bundles not more than 60 pounds.
  • All trash and recycling should be stored in containers in the rear or side yard until 7 pm the night before your scheduled collection day.
  • Containers should be placed on the curb by 7 am on collection day.
  • Inoperable vehicles (those without current registration, inspection stickers and no insurance) cannot be stored in driveways, on the street, or anywhere on your property.
  • To insure safety of pedestrians, residents must remove snow within 12 hours of daylight following a snowfall. Please remember that children are walking to schools and bus stops all over town.
  • Pet owners must curb their dogs and immediately remove and dispose of all droppings.
  • Any sign posted on a telephone pole or tree in Cherry Hill is illegal. Citizens may remove signs themselves.
