Eligibility
Eligibility is restricted to Township residents who own their homes,
meet the gross annual income requirements listed below, and who
need repairs to one or more of their major systems (heating, plumbing,
electrical, roofing). Township employees, or members of their households,
are not eligible to apply.
Income Guidelines
The maximum incomes allowed are established by the Department of
Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and are currently set at:
- $38,528 for a family of one
- $44,032 for a family of two
- $49,536 for a family of three
- $55,040 for a family of four
These qualifying
income figures are adjusted periodically by HUD.
Applications
To apply to the Housing Rehabilitation Program, contact the
Department of Community Development at 856-488-7870 to request an
application. The following documentation must be provided
along with the completed application form:
- copy of most recently completed Federal Income Tax return, with
W2s and schedules attached
- statements from employers of all members of the household over
18 years of age, projecting their total income over the next 12
months
- copies of the four most recent pay stubs, dated sequentially
- verification of all other sources of income, including Social
Security, Public Assistance, Disability, Unemployment, child support,
alimony, pensions, etc.
- verification of all assets, to include copies of all checking / saving account(s) statements
- proof of property ownership (a copy of the deed)
- proof that property taxes are paid current
- proof that mortgage payments are current
- a signed & dated Financial Privacy Act Notice
- all other verifications deemed necessary by the program administrator.
