On behalf of myself and the members of Township Council, have a safe, happy Labor Day weekend!

Al Fresco
Council President Fleisher and Councilwoman Jacobs attend Al Fresco.

Great turnout for Al Fresco Affair

Council President Fleisher and Councilwomen Jacobs and Doshi were among the hundreds of area residents who came out for a beautiful night of food, drinks, and live music at our third annual Al Fresco Affair at Croft Farm. Al Fresco Affair offered a variety of great local food options, set to the backdrop of one of our community's historic treasures. I want to personally thank all of the vendors and patrons for their ongoing support. Be sure to follow the Cherry Hill Recreation Department on Facebook for other terrific, family-friendly events happening all year long!

Back to School
It's back to school time!

It's back to school next week; Drivers: Slow down in neighborhoods!

Thousands of students will return to the classroom on Wednesday, meaning there will be many more vehicles and pedestrians on our neighborhood streets. Please remember to slow down during your morning commute, especially within our neighborhoods! The speed limit in all residential areas is 25mph, and Cherry Hill Police will be on patrol to ensure the safety of our students at all times. Remember to STOP for pedestrians in crosswalks, for Crossing Guards, and for school buses; the CHPD has a zero-tolerance policy for school bus law violations. Be Alert; Be Patient; Be Responsible -- in short, be a good neighbor, and a great member of our community! To all our teachers and students returning to the classroom, we wish you all the best for a successful school year!

Harvest Festival returns to Croft Farm

Round up your family and join me, Cherry Hill Township Council, Cherry Hill Police Department, and Cherry Hill Fire Department for Harvest Festival on Sunday, October 21 from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. This annual event is a result of a partnership between Cherry Hill Township, Cherry Hill Police Department and Cherry Hill Fire Department aimed at engaging and informing the community. Located, at Croft Farm (100 Bortons Mill Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034), rain or shine, Harvest Festival attendees will celebrate their community spirit by sampling a variety of “tricks” and “treats” from the Cherry Hill area.

Built in 1779, Croft Farm was once a working mill, farm and stop on the Underground Railroad. This historic landmark has played an important role in Southern New Jersey for more than 300 years. In 1995, the township converted the tractor barn into a 240-seat performance venue with concert-worthy acoustics. Residents and visitors can also take advantage of the 80 acres of preserved land at Croft including nature trails, which in 2011, were designated as National Recreation Trails by the U.S. Secretary of the Interior.
During Harvest Festival, attendees are encouraged to visit the Croft Farm Arts Center to view the Fall Into the Arts juried photography show. This show is hosted by the Cherry Hill Arts Board. All photographs are available for purchase. To participate in the photography show, please email Arts@CHTownship.com
