WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy occasions and individuals; and
WHEREAS tonight, members of the South Jersey community have come together to honor Rabbi Jonathan Bienenfeld, who was recently installed as the Rabbi at Young Israel of Cherry Hill; and
WHEREAS Rabbi Bienenfeld and his wife, Sarah relocated from Toledo, Ohio, with their children in order to serve the members of Young Israel of Cherry Hill in 2014, where the Rabbi and his wife have been instrumental in the growth of the congregation; and
WHEREAS Rabbi Bienenfeld enriches the Jewish community by delivering lectures, teaching classes and presiding over important communal and Jewish events; and
WHEREAS Rabbi Bienenfeld’s passion for pastoral care shows through his every action, and he has demonstrated a true gift for creating a caring and inclusive community that extends far beyond the congregation; and
WHEREAS for these reasons and many others, Mayor Cahn and the members of Cherry Hill Township Council are pleased to celebrate Rabbi Bienenfeld’s installation as Rabbi.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby wish to honor and celebrate
Rabbi Jonathan Bienenfeld
for his contributions and service to Cherry Hill Township and Young Israel, and ask that all citizens join with me and the members of Township Council in wishing Rabbi Bienenfeld and his family all the best as they continue to serve Young Israel and make Cherry Hill a better, stronger place to live, work and play.
