WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of the Township of Cherry Hill to focus attention on noteworthy occasions and individuals; and
WHEREAS today, as we celebrate another year of Cherry Bowl, we wish to call special attention to Joe Crick, a longtime driving force behind and supporter of the Barclay Farm Swim Club and the swimming community in Cherry Hill; and
WHEREAS Joe became involved with the Barclay Farm Swim Club in 1989, when his then-8-year-old daughter, Jesse, joined the club’s Swim Team, and has served the organization in various capacities through the years, quickly becoming everyone’s “go-to guy” for swimming answers and advice; and
WHEREAS a cheerleader for all of Cherry Hill’s swimmers, regardless of size, speed, ability, or Swim Club, Joe is a true lover of the sport, and a great supporter of all the kids who participate in it; and
WHEREAS as Joe prepares to step back from his role, it is our honor and privilege to recognize and thank him for his countless contributions to the Barclay Farm Swim Club, Cherry Bowl and the Tri-County Swimming Association; and
WHEREAS as Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township, we formally commend Joe Crick for his role in making Cherry Hill a warm, wonderful and supportive place to live and play.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill in the County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby wish to honor and thank Cherry Hill resident

for more than 20 years of dedicated service to the Barclay Farm Swim Club, to our children and families, and to the local swimming community, and do urge all citizens to join with me and Council in wishing continued health and happiness in the months and years to come.
