WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy occasions and individuals; and
WHEREAS on Sunday, April 26, 2015, the South Jersey Men’s Club will celebrate its 25th anniversary; and
WHEREAS since 1991, the club and its members have worked to further Jewish education, enrich members’ lives and foster camaraderie between synagogue-affiliated and unaffiliated Jewish men, while at the same time, dedicating themselves to philanthropy across South Jersey; and
WHEREAS the Men’s Club is a member of the International Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs, and the recipient of more FJMC Torch Awards for excellence than any other Men’s Club in New Jersey; and
WHEREAS its members have supported organizations like the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey, the Jewish Community Relations Council, the Jewish Community Center, Jewish Community Foundation, Jewish Family and Children’s Services and the Jewish Athletic Group, and a variety of community-service efforts across our region.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby honor and recognize
The South Jersey Men’s Club
And its members, both past and present, as they celebrate 25 years of service and philanthropy in Southern New Jersey, and ask the citizens of Cherry Hill Township to join with me and Council in thanking the South Jersey Men’s Club for its efforts to make Cherry Hill and our surrounding communities a better, stronger place to live, work and play.
