WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy occasions and individuals; and
WHEREAS Cherry Hill resident Kyle Dixon III is being given a special Youth Award for his inspirational efforts to make a difference in the community; and
WHEREAS at just 12 years of age, Kyle is already the self-published author of “Jay Bubblebee: The Bee Who Started it All,” the underdog story of a young bee who, in his father’s absence, is tasked with running his family’s business to save their home; and
WHEREAS the moral of “Jay Bubblebee” is one that should be shared often with our young people: that children possess an incredible amount of strength and potential, even in the face of adversity; and
WHEREAS Cherry Hill Township is proud to help celebrate Kyle’s achievements, and wishes to hold his work up as an example to motivate and encourage other young men and women in our community.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby declare Sunday, April 6, 2014, to be
Kyle Dixon III Day
in the Township of Cherry Hill and do urge all citizens to join with me and Council in congratulating Kyle on his success as an author, and in thanking him for his efforts to make a positive difference both here in Cherry Hill and across South Jersey.
