WHEREAS the health and well-being of our citizens is of primary concern for the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township; and
WHEREAS on Thursday, March 6, a group of dietitians from the Davita Dialysis Center will host a special information and outreach program at the Cherry Hill Public Library as part of National Nutrition Month, a campaign to promote healthy nutrition and wellness; and
WHEREAS food is the substance by which life is sustained; and
WHEREAS the type, quality, and amount of food that individuals consume each day plays a vital role in their overall health and physical fitness; and
WHEREAS there is a need for continuing nutrition education and a wide-scale effort to
enhance healthy eating practices;
WHEREAS Cherry Hill Township and the Cherry Hill Mayor’s Wellness Campaign recognize the need to educate our community about the importance of eating fresh, healthy food, and are proud to show our support for National Nutrition Month.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby proclaim the month of March 2014 to be
National Nutrition Month
in the Township of Cherry Hill and do urge all citizens to join the campaign and become concerned about their nutrition and the nutrition of others, with the hope of achieving optimum health both today and in our future.
