Mayor Cahn and Council honored the Township's first "It's In Our Power" Energy Champions with Proclamations at the Council meeting on February 13, 2012
WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy occasions and individuals; and
WHEREAS Cherry Hill Township has been designated a Climate Showcase Community by the Environmental Protection agency to become a model for communities across the country in reducing greenhouse gas emissions; and
WHEREAS Whereas Cherry Hill Township has created the Cherry Hill It’s In Our Power program to provide hands-on assistance to residents, businesses and organizations to cut energy bills, create a cleaner, healthier community, and protect our planet for future generations; and
WHEREAS the Mayor and Council of the Township of Cherry Hill seek to recognize as It’s In Our Power Energy Champions those residents, businesses and organizations that have become leaders through their exemplary actions in reducing energy use and educating others about lowering their carbon footprint; and
WHEREAS recipients continue to be active participants in making Cherry Hill Township the great community it is today; and
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby proclaim that we recognize
The First Energy Champions of the It’s In Our Power Program
in the Township of Cherry Hill and urge all citizens to join with Council and me in expressing appreciation for community members who are models of sustainable energy use.
