WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy occasions and individuals; and
WHEREAS Jacobs Music Company has been a part of the Cherry Hill Township community since the 1990s, with 2012 marking a year of change as they move to their new location and join fellow businesses in the Barclay Farms Shopping Center; and
WHEREAS community engagement and fundraising events promote economic development and town pride;
WHEREAS Jacobs Music Company created the “70 on 70” event, a three-day music marathon taking place October 5-7, 2012, featuring 70 musicians to perform in the Barclay Farms Shopping Center and showcasing the vibrant performing arts in Southern New Jersey;
WHEREAS beneficiaries of the “70 on 70” music marathon include The Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper University Hospital, the Cooper Foundation, the Boys and Girls Club of Camden County, and the Cherry Hill Education Foundation; and
WHEREAS businesses in Cherry Hill are leaders in the community and Township Council and Administration are honored to welcome Jacobs Music Company to their new home in the Barclay Farms Shopping Center; NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby proclaim Friday, October 5, 2012 as:
Jacobs Music Company Day
in the Township of Cherry Hill and urge all citizens to join with me and Council in welcoming Jacobs Music Company to their new home and best wishes for a successful Perform-A-Thon.
