Mayor Cahn and Council honored the Eagle Scout Adam Breskin with a Proclamation on July 24, 2012
WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy occasions and individuals; and
WHEREAS Adam Breskin, a member of Troop 8 in Cherry Hill, began his journey to Eagle Scout in 2000, when he became a Cub Scout; and
WHEREAS after several years of hard work and several accomplishments, Adam earned the rank of Eagle Scout – the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a Boy Scout – on May 23, 2012; and
WHEREAS for his Eagle Scout Project, Adam beautified the entrance and pathway to Unexpected Wildlife in Newfield, N.J., a project that included organizing volunteers, clearing brush, increasing accessibility and installing a new entrance sign; and
WHEREAS in addition to the 21 merit badges required to attain the rank of Eagle Scout, Adam is also active in the national organization, Order of the Arrow-Te’kening Lodge #37, Scouting’s National Honor Society; and
WHEREAS as a recent graduate of Cherry Hill High School West, Adam plans to continue his service through projects as a student at Widener University, and in the surrounding community, including Chester, Pa.; and
WHEREAS the Mayor and Council are proud to call Adam one of Cherry Hill’s own, as he exemplifies the values that make our community strong.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby proclaim Tuesday, July 24, 2012 to be
Eagle Scout Day
in the Township of Cherry Hill and do urge all citizens to join with me and Council in recognizing the hard work and commitment required to become an Eagle Scout, and in congratulating Adam on his tremendous achievement.
