WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy occasions and individuals; and
WHEREAS today, young athletes from across Cherry Hill will compete in the 59th annual Cherry Bowl, hosted this year at the Covered Bridge Swim Club; and
WHEREAS the Cherry Bowl is a unique celebration of youth, healthy activity and good sportsmanship, and promotes friendly competition among Cherry Hill’s young men and women; and
WHEREAS with participation from hundreds of swimmers from each of Cherry Hill’s 13 Swim Clubs, Cherry Bowl is one of South Jersey’s largest annual sporting events, and one of our community’s most cherished traditions; and
WHEREAS the Mayor and Council are proud to once again be a part of the celebration, and wish to thank the Cherry Hill Association of Pools, Covered Bridge Swim Club, and the countless volunteers who have given their time and talents to make this year’s Cherry Bowl a success.
