WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy individuals; and
WHEREAS tonight, we wish to honor Councilman James Bannar, who concludes his term in office on December 31, 2017, after eight years as a member of the Cherry Hill Township Council; and
WHEREAS Councilman Bannar’s years of commitment and dedication as a public servant – both personally and professionally - are commendable, as has served our community with distinction, always going the extra mile for our community and showing an extraordinary level of caring for all of our residents; and
WHEREAS through his support of the Township’s efforts, particularly his continued interest in maintaining the beauty and charm of Cherry Hill’s close-knit neighborhoods , Councilman Bannar has helped build a stronger, healthier and safer Cherry Hill; and
WHEREAS despite his busy schedule as a Councilman, father, football coach and fire fighter, Jim has always found time to attend community events and activities, and to engage and help those in need of his assistance; and
WHEREAS Councilman Bannar has fulfilled his duties admirably, with energy, kindness and genuine enthusiasm.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby wish to recognize and honor
Councilman James Bannar
for his dedicated service to Cherry Hill Township and its residents, and ask all citizens to join with me and Council in Jim a genuine and heartfelt thank-you for his contributions to our community, and extending our best wishes as he begins this next chapter in life.
