WHEREAS it is the intention of the Mayor and Council of Cherry Hill Township to focus attention on noteworthy occasions and individuals; and
WHEREAS tonight, the Township wishes to recognize the Woodcrest Red Team, who have repeated as Champions of the Cherry Hill Association of Pools Volleyball League for 2017; and
WHEREAS Woodcrest Red concluded its latest championship season in August with an upset in the final round over No. 1 seed Old Orchard Red, after beating No. 2 seed Willowdale in the semifinal round; and
WHEREAS while Woodcrest ultimate was named champion, we are proud of all four teams that competed in this year’s championship tournament, as well as the 11 teams that comprise the Association of Pools’ Volleyball League; and
WHEREAS the Cherry Hill Association of Pools provides safe and enjoyable locations for families to enjoy their summers, while incorporating additional recreational activities for Cherry Hill residents of all ages, including the adult volleyball league; and
WHEREAS the Mayor and Township Council wish to congratulate the Woodcrest Red Team on a successful season, and to thank the Cherry Hill Association of Pools and our individual swim clubs for their continued support of positive activity and recreation throughout our community.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHUCK CAHN, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, do hereby wish to congratulate the
Woodcrest Swim Club Red Team
on being named Champions of the Cherry Hill Association of Pools Volleyball League for 2017, and urge all citizens to join us in congratulating the players and coaches on a very successful season.
