2013 Capital Fleet Status Update
The BOFC's 2013 Capital Fleet Replacement Plan was very productive. The funding of this project was not to exceed an amount of $2,605,000 which was approved on December 12, 2012.
The following vehicles were purchased in 2013:
Total expenditures in 2013 for these vehicles was $335,100
The following vehicles/equipment were purchased in 2014:
Total expenditures in 2014 for these vehicles and equipment was $1,750,094
The following vehicle was purchased in 2015:
The following vehicles were purchased in 2013:
- Rehab Support Vehicle for the Deer Park Volunteer Fire Company - This vehicle replaced a 1991 utility vehicle.
- Pick-up Truck for the Volunteer Cherry Hill Fire Police Unit - This vehicle replaced a 1992 pick-up truck.
- Panel Van for the Volunteer Cherry Hill Fire Police Unit - This vehicle replaced a 1975 utility vehicle.
- Ford Explorer (2) for the Fire Chief and Assistant Chief - These vehicles replaced a 2004 Ford Explorer and 2009 Crown Vic Sedan that were placed into a secondary use.
- Rescue Boat for the Technical Rescue Company - This boat will become the primary boat for emergency deployment.
Total expenditures in 2013 for these vehicles was $335,100
2014
The following vehicles/equipment were purchased in 2014:
- 100 foot Pierce Ladder Truck to replace a 2003 Seagrave Tower Ladder - The 2003 Tower Ladder will be sold with the revenue from the sale placed into the Fire District's capital reserve account.
- Pierce Squad Engine to replace a 2003 Seagrave Squad Engine - The 2003 Squad Engine will be placed into the Fire District's reserve fleet.
- Firefighting Equipment for the Squad Engine and Ladder Truck.
- Rescue Boat which replaces a 2001 primary boat that was placed out-of-service due to its age. The Rescue Boat will be stationed on the west side of the township.
- Tilt Trailer was purchased to transport heavy equipment for the Department.
- 2015 Shop Truck will replace a 1995 Shop Truck which is used for road side repair of Fire Department vehicles and snow removal.
Total expenditures in 2014 for these vehicles and equipment was $1,750,094
The following vehicle was purchased in 2015:
- The 2015 Suburban for the Battalion Chief was not available on the New Jersey State Bid Contract.
- The 2016 Tahoe became available on the New Jersey State Bid Contract and was purchased in place of a Suburban at a cost of $36,185.00. This vehicle will replace a 2007 Suburban which will be placed in reserve status.
- The 2016 Tahoe was fit-out with equipment at a cost of $31,079.00 ($18,571.00 Capital, $12,508.00 Operations).
