Continued Certificate of Occupancy (CCO)

Effective January 1, 2015 homeowners are required to obtain a Continued Certificate of Occupancy before the resale of residential property.  In order to obtain a Continued Certificate of Occupancy, an application must be submitted to the Property Maintenance Department with a check or money order in the amount of $50.00 for the inspection fee.  The home's exterior property areas will then be inspected to ensure the property complies with the Township's property maintenance code.  Applicants can download the Application and mail it or drop it off at their location: 1 Perina Boulevard, Cherry Hill, NJ 08003.

The following items are inspected for a Continued Certificate of Occupancy:  Grading and drainage, sidewalks and driveways, natural growth (e.g. excessive weeds, dead trees), accessory structures, ground surface hazards or unsanitary conditions and discharge of sump pumps (if applicable) and snow and ice clearing (when applicable).
